Assistant Project Manager
NYC Office – Immediate Start
conceptcsi is searching for a strong, commercial interior’s construction professional to coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the project labor force. Reporting directly to Head of Construction, the Assistant Project Manager will have to deliver fast paced projects in strict accordance with contract documents.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Delivery on the three key indicators to ensure project success: Client Satisfaction (repeat business), Project Schedule (on time, every time), and Maximize Gross Profit (managing the construction budget, general conditions and optimizing change orders)
- Provide the main point of contact between conceptcsi’s project field team and the client.
- Foster an excellent working relationship with the Client as well as the design team and our subcontractors.
- Oversee all project activity and escalate any issue that may have the potential to impact the project budget, schedule, safety, quality and/or client relations.
- Lead all weekly project meetings including Owner Architect Contractor and Subcontractor Coordination meetings & prepare, control and distribute all meeting minutes in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct regular internal team meetings to provide clear instruction and guidance on all project goals, objectives, processes and procedures, corrective action etc.
- Ensure all team members are fully versed on company policy and procedures as well as expectations regarding their contribution to specific project goals and objectives.
- Utilize conceptcsi’s web-based management tool Procore, delivering the project with strict adherence to the company’s established management procedures, controls and protocols for documentation, communication, safety and quality assurance.
- Prepare project status report for review at internal weekly project management meetings
- Maintain excellent documentation and records of all meetings and communications
- Provide timely and accurate information to Accounting on billing/AIA requisitions.
- Prepare, distribute and control all RFI’s and Submittal documentation
- Review all vendor submittals, identifying possible problems and creative work-arounds.
- Track and monitor the project schedule and up-date, document and communicate all changes and deviations.
- Communicate with Department Head and Accounting on any impact relating to construction budgets, change orders and schedule impact issues.
- Ensure the field office is set up in a professionally manner, fully equipped, clean and safe.
- Ensure that conceptcsi’s superintendent is fully supported and is running a clean, efficient and safe site.
- Ensure that conceptcsi signage is appropriately displayed on all project locations.
- Prepare all appropriate documentation to deliver a complete close-out package to the client upon project completion.
- Coordinate the taking of professional photos for each project.
