Metrotech, FDNY Headquarters – Brooklyn, NY

The project consisted of replacing two existing 400-gallon natural gas-fired hot water heaters, each weighing approximately 1,955 pounds, with two new units of the same capacity, along with a new hot-water recirculation pump. The units were located in a confined mechanical area surrounded by critical equipment within a fully occupied, 24/7 operational facility. The work required precise planning, specialized rigging, and close coordination to protect existing systems and minimize disruptions. The scope included equipment removal, installation, utility reconnections, testing, and commissioning.
